Though popularly classified as Metalcore, Every Time I Die's sound also contains elements of Southern_rock and Math_metal. The finished music is sent to him and he is then responsible for performing his vocals over the music. * At a July 4th concert, Keith Buckley stated the song "The New Black" will be in the forthcoming Guitar_Hero_II video game. Red Octane, the makers of Guitar Hero have confirmed that Every Time I Die's track "The New Black" from 2005's Gutter Phenomenon will be featured in the Guitar Hero II game along side tracks from Megadeth, Lamb of God, and Guns N' Roses * Chris Byrnes, Bassist, has parted ways with the band, his last show being Dirtfest, in Michigan on August 19th, 2006. * At one point, John DeDomenici of Bomb_the_Music_Industry was going to join the band, prompting fellow BtMI member, Jeff Rosenstock, to write the song "Congratulations, John, On Joining Every Time I Die."
