| Mumbay's Slum
The visit to a Slum in Bombay. more here: www.simone.bruno.name/india
Todya I did visit a Slum, that are the poor areas of the city, something similar to Brazilian's Favelas, maybe worse.. You can see people looking for garbage, to recycle the materials, inside a dark stinking polluted river that collet the sewer of the whole slum.

Great!!! http://maulwurf.20six.de Yes Simone, all your pictures are really great!!! wow! these are such beautiful photos! thank you so much for sharing them with us!! balance of power puddlejumpAwideopenwest.com amazing, beautiful, yes-i agree. makes me think, which is, i believe, the powerful truth behind photos. what are we doing with so much..stuff here in america. thoughts and images fill me up more than big macs or levis. ownership of all this...stuff is a luxury, while people are sifting for necessary income in raw sewage. makes me think..thank you. Wonderful! Congratulations for your photos! Another world is possible! A kiss from Matera, Italy. We are more and more than they want he think . Go INDIA, go WORLD!!!!!! Poles of Our Planet dmackova@nd.edu Yes, I was lucky to have grown up in modest, but all-providing Czechoslovakia. Lucky to have travelled to both to the rich and developing countries. Have understood capitalism is in the US, but also in Bangladesh and the slums of Mumbai. The former being scarce, the latter far too well-spread. Have been lucky to work a bit in the slums of Nairobi. The most touching experience. All my respect and admiration for people who have nothing - but their strength and dignity despite it all. They are the heroes - not the presidents and businessmen with empty hearts and heads, but full stomachs - the "poor possessing" ... We need to mobilise. Come together for a better world. I hope it is not far ... Please keep on sharing - pictures, art, knowledge work ... Everybody can contribute. Live in solidarity. Darina ... They are brilliant. I often feel that cameras are too obtrusive and interfere too much with real social iteraction but when the results are as inspiring and moving as yours, I say 'Welcome, bring on the cameras'. MISS eu_anakoop@hotmail.com ....well done! realities! i want to visit... explore... learn something about this culture... this people... thanks in advance... i will reply one day! doctor vgupta1@nd.edu I am amazed to read people's comments. It is ironical what reactions the images of horrible and inhuman conditions poor people livein evoke in others sharing the same planet. mr lwakhi@webmail.co.zahttp://www.webmail.co.za It`s amazing to hear people, commenting as if they are seeing the most beuatifull thing in the world, words such as "great""wonderfull" etc.All I can say is that it`s shame to see that people admire pix of their own people and say no word that can be helpfull,eg that lady/guy of big macs and levis.Hah america is treating you right, happy r you.Hope fully we will one day meet that standard also here in Mzantsi Afrika.Enkosi Mumbay's Slum Thank you Simone!
