Principal's Message:

Welcome to Fort Campbell's newest elementary school. Opened in August 1997 with 530 students, the school is housed in a state of the art, student and teacher friendly building. Despite a short tenure of operation, the faculty and staff have built a first class educational program which enjoys an excellent reputation. As a newly opened school, we have benefited significantly from the active participation of parents in the classroom through the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), and on the site-based management team. In the spirit of cooperation, the management team chose "Partnership for a Better School" as their operational name. During school year 1998-99, the 3rd of the 327th Infantry Battalion adopted our school under the "Adopt-A-School Program". This unit has given enthusiastically of their time and support to enhance our program. Working together with parents, volunteers, and Post officials, we are committed to building a tradition of excellence. Our mission is to implement the Fort Campbell Mission through "Excellence in Teaching!" and "Excellence in Learning!"

Andre Lucas Elementary was selected as one of the nation's top 100 Wired Schools and was featured in the May 2001 issue of Family PC magazine.

We were selected based on information given in our application. The decision to chose Lucas for this honor reflected the way we have used our resources to educate our children. Our hardware, software, and the special training provided to teachers on a regular basis were key reasons for obtaining this award. Our school incorporates technology as an integral part of the learning process on a daily basis in all classrooms.
