Brebner jets to Australia for Melbourne talks - June 12, 2006

Dundee United midfielder Grant Brebner flew out to Australia yesterday for talks with Melbourne Victory.

Brebner is one of five Tannadice players transfer listed as boss Craig Brewster tries to cut his wage bill.

And despite speculation linking Brebner with Gretna, Aussie A-League side Melbourne Victory have emerged as hot favourites to snap him up.

Grant, 28, will head Down Under for two weeks to have a look at the club's set-up and thrash out terms.
