 As a member of Allies:

  • I support the 1998 Defense of Marriage Act that defines marriage as a union between one man, and one woman in Washington State.

  • I support the birthright of every child to a mom and a dad.

While recognizing that not all children live with both parents, and single parents need support too, the marriage model of a mother and father is the ideal that should be supported and promoted.

  • I believe that men and woman are not interchangeable.  In marriage, the male and female distinctions are brought together as complementary union. This relationship not only benefits children, but is also the foundation for a stable society.

  • I believe the people, not the courts, should decide whether or not the definition of marriage should be redefined.

  • I support a State Constitutional Amendment, if necessary, to protect authentic marriage in Washington State.
