It's no secret that ESL young learners as well as adults respond well to games. In this light I have created three card sets and four board games that will provide fun games for students that ESL English teachers as well will enjoy. Not to mention variety! The games were designed around the principle that if the goal of the game is to perfect grammar, the students will bore quickly of the game. Thus, the goals of these games are not "perfect English wins the game," but the students must use English in the target language to accomplish their goal and win the game. In doing so you'll be surprised how many times they use the language and hopefully perfect/internalize it through repetition. See each game's page for more detailed information.
These below are not card games and are very easy to prepare (no cards, no cutting, just print and go.) These are also designed to be versatile and allow the teacher to use them from beginners to intermediate levels.
I still have a few more games I'm working on getting up, so check back. |
