Welcome to the home page for Section 14 of Perspectives on Agriculture and the Environment. Perspectives is the "mission course" of Cook College and as such is intended to introduce new students to the core functions of our Land Grant institution, which include improving agriculture, protecting the environment, developing new technologies, and intelligently managing the common resources that we use everyday— from the water we drink to the very air that we breathe. Through reading, research, writing, and experiential learning activities, you will come to recognize the multiple perspectives that bear on these issues while you develop your own informed point of view. You can download the Syllabus to learn more.
