Erica Johnson is the co-host of CBC News: Marketplace, CBC Television's award-winning prime-time investigative consumer show.

Johnson began her journalism career in radio in 1987, working at several private radio stations, including CFRB in Toronto, where she reported and hosted. She began her CBC career in 1990 as a radio news reporter for the local Toronto station CBL. Johnson became a national radio reporter and hosted various CBC radio programs, including Radio Noon and Ontario Morning in Toronto.

In 1993, Johnson moved from radio to CBC Television, where she worked as a national reporter and helped launch The Health Show. She then moved from Toronto to Vancouver to be the health reporter for Vancouver's supper-hour news program and to anchor the weekend news.

Johnson joined the Marketplace team as a reporter, eventually becoming the Vancouver co-host of the program alongside Wendy Mesley in Toronto.

She has won numerous radio and television journalism awards, including a New York Festival Award, a national RTNDA Award and a Golden Sheaf Award.

A graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic University's Radio and Television Arts program, Johnson also holds a degree from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
