Tribune In Education program (TIE) places over 3,500 newspapers into the hands of area students each week. These are provided to area teachers at no charge thanks to the donations and contributions from area businesses and private citizens. Click here for a list of sponsors. The Columbia Daily Tribune also matches every dollar that is raised, maximizing the potential of this educational program.

Providing the Tribune to area educators gives them an excellent, multi-disciplinary supplement to formal textbook lessons. Newspapers in the classroom stimulate interest and help to explain today’s fast-changing world, while broadening students knowledge of local and world events and the people who shape them.

In addition, teachers are supplied with curriculum guides and a number of special projects throughout the school year. These projects are aimed at helping Mid-Missouri students improve their reading, mathematics, and critical thinking skills.
