FOX Steps Up Ruthless Attack On John Murtha

David Asman and John Fund went after John Murtha today on Big Story with a serious and destructive ruthlessness . Today they used Murtha's recent comment made in Miami to a small audience of 200 people as the primary reason for their attack but clearly this was just a convenient excuse.
Murtha made this comment in Miami.
"American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran"
The attack started with side by side shots of John Murtha and Cindy Sheehan and John Fund was ready with a prepared line.
" Jack Murtha is a used car salesman selling lemons."
Fund insisted that Murtha should be censored in Congress for his comment adding that Murtha is "the king of pork". A little exchange began between Asman and Fund about Murtha's brother who Fund called a "beer nut lobbyist" telling Asman, " all I can say is he's very successful." Then Fund called Murtha " a one man wrecking crew on ethics."
Asman asked Fund why in the light of all this would Democrats let Murtha be their spokesman? Fund claimed that it was only because he had been in Vietnam adding, "Now people in the military cringe" when he speaks. Earlier in the show Newt Gingrich said Democrats would pay a price for Murtha's comments about Haditha.

"I won't stand for the swift-boating of Jack Murtha," said Kerry. "There is no sterner stuff than the backbone and courage that defines Jack Murtha's character and conscience."
