Two years ago today News Hounds was launched with much uncertainty about how we would be recieved in the the blogosphere. We never imagined our blog would prosper this much in two years and we're very grateful for the support recieved during this journey.

Thanks to all our readers and commenters for adding so much life and texture to News Hounds. Your comments have enlightened, amused and sometimes infuriated us but we've appreciated all of them. Two years ago we never could have imagined that our readers would form such a wonderful community.

Our gratitude to Jim Gilliam is boundless. No matter when we ask for help, Jim is there for us within minutes and somehow he always solves our problems. Jim, we so appreciate all you do for us but mostly we appreciate you. You're rock solid, witty, unshockable, logical, kind, slightly crazy and totally lovable.

Most of all, we are grateful for the wonderful bonds that have formed within our group. Our commitment to News Hounds and each other continues to grow and we have become a true family. Hopefully we will continue working together in the future and maybe together we can make a difference.

Bill O'Reilly Is Really Upset About Rush Limbaugh

Bill O'Reilly is so concerned about Rush Limbaugh's recent brush with airport security in Palm Beach, he's had three segments about it on The Factor since the story broke.According to O'Reilly, Limbaugh is being persecuted by Palm Beach authorities who had no right to check his belongings at the airport after he returned from a foreign country. Isn't that a routine procedure known as customs? 6/29/06

Bill O'Reilly And Tony Snow Do PR For The White House

Last night Bill O'Reilly and Rich Lowry wanted some answers from Tony Snow about what the White House was planning to do to punish the New York Times for printing the money tracking story. Lowry sounded slightly peeved at Snow for condemning the New York Times yet saying that the newspaper would not be treated differently at the White House. O'Reilly, acting like the ultimate insider, assured Lowry that he would get the facts tonight when Snow appeared. Well, Snow appeared but he managed to say very little.

FOX Steps Up Ruthless Attack On John Murtha

David Asman and John Fund went after John Murtha today on Big Story with a serious and destructive ruthlessness . Today they used Murtha's recent comment made in Miami to a small audience of 200 people as the primary reason for their attack but clearly this was just a convenient excuse.
Murtha made this comment in Miami.
"American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran"

Republican Weekly Review On FOX

The Republican message this week was coordinated and communicated with unusual discipline and focus on FOX News. The same stories and messages were repeated on every show and it was plain to anyone paying attention that FOX and the White House are working together. Today Mort Kondracke and Fred Barnes wrapped it all up for viewers on The Beltway Boys which should be renamed The Republican Weekly Review.
