Wood re-lives high school bullying for inspiration

By Indo Asian News Service

London, June 17 (IANS) Actress Evan Rachel Wood drew from the trauma of being bullied during childhood as inspiration for her latest film.

Wood left school at 11 and was schooled at home after she could not handle school, contactmusic.com reported.

The actress, who won appreciation for her role in the 2003 film 'Thirteen', uses the painful childhood memories to portray a mean girl for her latest movie 'Pretty Persuasion'. She says: 'I had to take various acting classes. There was a girl who was pretending to be my best friend but there she was, stabbing me in the back whenever she could.'
