English Today
English Today provides accessible cutting-edge reports on all aspects of the language, including style, usage, dictionaries, literary language, Plain English, the Internet and language teaching, in terms of British, American and the world's many other 'Englishes'. Its global readership includes linguists, journalists, broadcasters, writers, publishers, teachers, advanced students of the language and others with a professional or personal interest in communication. Its debates are vigorous, and there is considerable reader involvement, as in the recent large worldwide response to Pam Peters' Langscape questionnaires which will contribute directly to the making of the first world English style guide. Language Teaching
Language Teaching provides professionals and academics with an up-to-date and convenient source of references on research in second and foreign language learning and teaching. Each four-part volume includes about 700 abstracts of research articles reporting the latest developments in language education. The abstracts are selected from some 200 key international periodicals surveyed regularly upon their publication. All abstracts are in English, including those based on articles written in another language. Each issue offers also a specially commissioned, authoritative state-of-the-art article on a topic important to language learning and/or language teaching. Additional features of the journal are a subject index, an author index, a list of publications received, and an annual list of the periodicals surveyed for abstracting. 'An excellent source of information for academics, professionals and graduate students. The state-of-the-art articles are excellent and extremely useful to get the most relevant information in each area. The abstracts and indexes provide a very valuable tool for researchers in applied linguistics.'
