EnerFuel Inc., a subsidiary of alternative energy company Ener1, Inc., designs and develops technologies and products that advance the safety, reliability and performance of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell products.
EnerFuel provides fuel cell manufacturers and developers
engineering and testing services, including fuel cell system
design, individual component modeling (physical and analytical),
fuel-cell system modeling (physical and analytical), advanced
fuel cell failure-mode analysis, fuel cell characterization,
and prototyping. The company's services also include highly
specialized fuel cell system integration assistance. Further
access to the company's technical expertise and proprietary
technologies can be made available through licensing and
R&D/product development partnerships.
EnerFuel has received a grant from the Florida Hydrogen Initiative to develop, deploy and demonstrate a biomass-fueled fuel cell system to power an interstate rest area within Florida. The fuel cell system will be powered by fuel from waste generated from the processing of citrus, Florida's signature agricultural industry.
