Andrew, Simon and Sheila are the choregraphers of

The starting point for creating a dance is finding a track they ALL
like ...the exception was
Magic. Simon NOW agrees it was a good choice. Miller Magic is still
a favorite with classes and socials around the world! Simon listens
to up-to-date chart tracks with waltz & night club 2-step as his
choice in tempo. Andrew's music taste is wide-ranging ...big band, 70's,
80's and uptempo country. Sheila loves rock and roll, Glenn Miller AND
Carlene Carter! They have been teaching line dance classes for 10 years;
ALL their choreography and ucoming touring schedules can be found at
their website A-S-Portal.com
On the weekends,
Northern California dance halls fill with 80+ dancers poised in lines
waiting for the first notes of music to release them. Facial expressions
range from concentration to genuine smiles of enjoyment ...some even
sing along with the familar lyrics.
Gone are the suede-soled boots and the famboyant western wear of the
early 90's but the fun and the passion each of us has for line dancing
still continues. Those of us who have been dancin' 10+ years remember
when the Achy Breaky ruled.
Back in 1998
The Woolpackers sang Hilly Billy Rock; I remember learning
Rock/Hillbilly Roll (Rob & Lorraine Gent).
Jessica Lamb & Adrian Lefebour (Young'ins from Melborne) have
DOWN to The Woolpackers singin' Hoe Down Come Sundown! JUST listening
to this toe tapping music is a trip down "retro country" lane
