The exhibition contains photographs, videos, sounds and interactive parts. The exhibition is like a journey, like traveling through an empty space, occupy it, empty it, create an identity, a meening. When you are walking you are always leaving small tracks that after a while disappears. We forget our presence to leave over to another, and so on. This exhibition is simply a try to create the small tracks that we are leaving after us, invisible paths, that beeing remembered are heading forward to new ones that are coming after them. You can find more information about this artist and his work on the website: mario.menos1.com, and you can reach him at: mario@menos1.com or 655.48.39.11. In-Sonora, Mikel Arce, Iria Cagigao, Ainara del Campo, Iñigo López. 24 of November-4 of December 05 A show of sound- and interactive art: Mikel Arce, Iria Cagigao, Ainara del Campo and Iñigo López. Thursday 24th of November-Sunday 4th of December The works of this show are like living experemental spaces- where things are happening, sound- or visual sensations- thanks to the passing of time and the contact with the spectator. Curated by Maite Camacho and Mario Gutièrrez Mikel Arce Diapasones 2.5 (multifonic work) This is an installation that invites you to make a journey through the space and feel the sound composition created by the artist. The origin of this compositon are the different frequencies of four diapasones mèdicos and the result is, a work with a minimalistic caracter but filled with details. The installation has 8 different sound sources which, depending on the moment and the spectator in the space, give different sound sensations. Iria Cagigao Untitled 8 (sound installation) The work never is equal over time. Every moment that the spectator find, you know that there have been a before and that there will come an after, and that these both situations never can be the same. This is about an ice block that contains a speaker that is reproducing a melody composed for this ending. It`s melting inside the work, the sound accentuates and the vibrations of the speaker produce a movements inside the ice. This is provocing a similarity with a birth of a living being. The sounds are producing vibrations, and at the same time the vibrations are producing new sounds that complement the installation. Ainara del Campo Time Delayed (interactive sound installation) Installation with a changing continuation, that are recording and reproducing the sound in the hall and from the spectators, which invites to an active participation. The sounds are mixing and disrupting in every moment. Text by the artist: Time, space and creation are concepts that can describe this work. In every moment, in every instance, the sensations are different. it doesn`t exist two of the same kind, everything is fluent and chanching. In the same mood, the space is more than we physical can percept, it´s what invades the sound, wraps in it and captivates the surroundings. This sound is also a work, intlligible or not, the hazard. The work is a creation of another work. Iñigo López ... you look at me when i´m not looking at you, when I see you you stop looking at me... This is a prototype of an interactive video installation that consists of various pieces (totally 6), and the artist presents 2 of them in this exhibition. Everyone of this pieces is composed by a dispositivo of reproduction of a digital video that is conected to a mechanism of a movement detection. And when this activates (with the presence of an observer) it launches a second video. This work has been realized in cooperation with Josu Rekalde, video artist and teacher of video art and interaction in the faculty of Bilbao, Egoi Markaida and Teresa Portugal. The work has a sensitive radio and the limitations of the hall can interact other elements, the radio is marked on the floor.
