Group of women of royal descent calls on Thaksin to name "charismatic figure"

A group of women of royal descent and members of elite families on Monday called on caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to disclose the name of the person whom he referred to as "charismatic figure".

The group's members include MR Ramphi-arpha Kasemsri and ML Ubol Nilubol. They demanded Thaksin to be specific on his comment.

They said many people had interpreted that he was referring to a person higher than Prem so Thaksin needed to make it clear whom he was referring to.

Thaksin last week claimed that a charismatic figure was trying to overthrow him.

The group of women held a press conference at a shop in the Royal City Avenue.

They said the formed the club for the truth and vowed to keep on campaigning until Thaksin became more specific in his allegations.

Praphai Prasartthong-osoth, a member of the group, said many people had started thinking that Thaksin was meaning a person higher than Prem so he must clarify his statement now.
