All Multi-National Force - Iraq training of Iraqi Security forces is conducted and organized by the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq, MNSTCI. Below is the Mission Statement and a brief break-down of the command. For more Information please visit their Official Web site.

Mission

Organize, train, equip, and mentor Iraqi Security Forces, in order to support Iraq's ultimate goal of a unified, stable and democratic Iraq, which provides a representative government for the Iraqi people; is underpinned by new and protected freedoms for all Iraqis and a growing market economy; and is able to defend itself and not pose a threat to the region.

The Military of Iraq

This section is designed to look back on the transformation of the Iraqi Army over the past three years as it looks forward to building a strong future for the people of Iraq. This document will impress upon the leaders of the Iraqi Armed Forces the country’s roots as a civilization, the trials endured in the past, and the potential to once again assume a position of positive influence in the Arab community. The Iraqi people are in the midst of building a Counter-Insurgency Force, able to provide security and defend democracy for the people of Iraq. This Army is fighting hard against those who seek to terrorize and oppress the people of Iraq.

 


The Police of Iraq

The Ministry of Interior with its Coalition partners looks back on the transformation of the courageous security forces over the past three years and contemplates a strong future. This document highlights the leaders of the organization, Iraq’s roots as a civilization, the trials the Iraqi people have endured, and the tremendous potential Iraq has as a nation. The Iraqi people are in the midst of building professional police forces, able to provide security and bring freedom to the people of Iraq. The Ministry of Interior Police and Security Services are fighting with great courage against those who seek to terrorize and oppress the Iraqi people. The force is not complete and the Iraqi government works in partnership with MNF-I to continue building the forces required to defeat the terrorists.

CMATT - Coalition Military Assistance Training Team
Organizes, trains, and equips the Iraqi Armed Forces, IAF. During operations, provides ongoing mentoring and advising to Iraqi leaders at all levels of command. Assists the Ministry of Defense leadership in developing accession sources and leadership programs across all services of the IAF. Endstate is the development of a IAF capable of planning and conducting unilateral operations in order to maintain security within Iraq and defend its sovereignty.

JHQ - Joint Headquarters Advisory Support Team
Assists the Joint Headquarters of the Iraqi Armed Forces, IAF, to develop a command and control system that supports the provision of military strategic advice to government, and facilitates effective command of the IAF, including the ability to conduct joint operational planning, deploy, and redeploy IAF in defense of Iraq’s national interests.

CPATT - Civilian Police Assistance Training Team
Organizes, trains, equips and mentors the Iraqi Civilian Police Forces and Department of Border Enforcement Forces and monitors, advises and certifies the Facilities Protection Service Forces, in order to develop capable and credible Iraqi security forces.
