New Precision Guided Humor Assignment: Fauxtography

Faking pictures! It's hip! It's trendy! It's fun!

It's Reuters!

If there's a way to spread terrorist propaganda, Reuters will find it.

Here's your chance to play Reuters fauxtographer. Your Precision Guided Humor Assignment this week is to answer the question:

What picture will Reuters fake next?

If you're new to image manipulation, I have a quick & dirty guide explaining how to make passable fake pictures using Microsoft Paint.

Post the answer at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.PGH@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EST Wednesday, August 16th and the round-up will be posted Thursday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!

Precision Guided Humor Round-up: Raul's Cuba

Sure, he had to wait 47 years to get his filthy paws on the reins of power, but now that he has it, Raul Castro is really going to town. The Alliance takes a look at what's different with a new sherriff in town:

GEBIV of There's One, Only! looks over Raul's first 100 days, and notes such items as:
"The Official State Facial Hair will be changed from "Hedge Beard" to "Cheesy Mustache"."

I (Harvey, posting from IMAO) have seen the future of Cuba, and it includes:
"Relaxing the ban on American corporations. Even going so far as personally pinching the ceremonial first ass at the new Havana Hooters."

Hopefully with Raul in charge, those CIA idiots will finally figure out how to deliver an effective exploding cigar.

New Filthy Lie Assignment: Better Instapundit?

Back from his latest hobo-killing spree, Evil Glenn posted this idle musing:

Thanks to all my guest bloggers, who as usual did a great job. I think the blog actually improves when I go away!

I guess that depends on what the meaning of the word "improves" is, but I suppose we can discuss it.

Your Filthy Lie Assignment this week is to answer the question:

Does the Instapundit blog improve when Evil Glenn is away? Explain.

Post your response at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.filthylies@gmail.com. Filthy Lie Round-up: Bloggy Glenn's Evilversary

How will Evil Glenn celebrate 5 years of single-word blogging commentary? The Alliance theorizes thusly:

GEBIV of There's One, Only! thinks it'll revolve around some exciting new vocabulary expansion.

Sean of Shoot A Liberal gives me my buck-oh-five's worth by digging up the party's guest list.

Little Orange Fox of The Outlaw Republican suspects a game of Beach Blanket Communism is afoot.

I (Harvey, posting from IMAO) know for a fact that it's going to be a day of tearing open wrapping paper to reveal the shiny presents within.

Well, no matter how the Puppy Blender celebrates, the Alliance will be celebrating with even GREATER enthusiasm, because every day that passes just brings us closer to the inevitable downfall of the Blogspheric Dark Overlord.

New Precision Guided Humor Assigment: Changing Cuba

Annoying commie jackass and president of Cuba Fidel Castro is not dead.

However, he DID undergo major surgery - probably for beard cancer or something - and "temporarily" signed over power to his brother Raul Castro.

Who, I'm sure, would never DREAM of pulling the plug on that machine next to Fidel's bed.

Very little is known about Raul, so there's a lot of speculation about what he might do while he has the presidency in his hot little hands.

Let us speculate also.

Your Precision Guided Humor Assignment this week is to answer the question:

What changes will Raul Castro make in Cuba during his tenure as President?

Post the answer at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.PGH@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EST Wednesday, August 9th and the round-up will be posted Thursday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!

Precision Guided Humor Round-up: Israel's War Secrets

It's not easy fighting terrorists. You need brilliant tactics, highly-skilled personnel, and complete secrecy for executing covert ops.

Well, at least Israel has 2 out of 3, since the Alliance will now reveal all their top secret military programs:

Steve the Pirate discovered plans for the cruelest and unusualest of secret weapons.

dIRTY rOTTEN hEATHEN says it's all about keepin' the pimp-hand strong. Word.

AbbaGav tells us why the United Nations High Commission for Electromagnetic Justice and the End of Israeli Occupation of All Arab Land is so freaked out.

I (Harvey, posting from IMAO) discovered a plethora of protective projects designed to teach the terrorists that yes, Allah HAS forsaken them.

I'm sure the terrorists will take this information and act on it accordingly.

By which I mean - Dudes, you might as well give up, because Israel's got WAY too many ways to kill your dumb asses.

New Precision Guided Humor Assignment: Israel's War Secrets

Figured we should follow the lead of the New York Times and start revealing all of Israel's covert ops.

It's the hip & trendy thing to do when a nation battles terrorists.

Your Precision Guided Humor Assignment this week is to answer the question:

What are Israel's top secret plans for winning their war against Lebanese terrorists?

Post the answer at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.PGH@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EST Wednesday, August 2nd and the round-up will be posted Thursday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!

Precision Guided Humor Round-up: The Times, They Are A-Changin'

Smaller pages, fewer workers... and a few other possiblities for changes at the New York Times, as suggested by the Alliance Faithful:

The Order of the Blue Square offers several likely alterations, including:
"The NYT will change its slogan from 'All the news that’s fit to print' to 'Some of the news that’s fit to print, and a whole crapload of what isn’t, and some stuff that isn’t even news, but we thought we should impose on your pea-brain mind, anyway.'"

Rerum Nevarum knows that quality is Job 1 and suggests ways for the Times to attain it, including:
"Inaugurating a special position called Al Jazeera Quality Control Inspector to review all stories and insure that they conform to the proper groupthink view of events."

The Scratching Post found out that the Times will be working hard on improving international relations.

Justin's Random Thoughts lists the changes by department, including:
"COPY EDITING - Outsourced to India. Considering the quality of most copy-editing by people who speak english, there should be no noticeable difference."

I (Harvey, posting from IMAO) think the Times will be keeping its eye on the bottom line, responsibly focussing on spending less and earning more, with improvements such as:
"Switching from regular printer's ink to much darker Hudson River water."

No matter what changes they make, I'm confident the Times will always remain the #1 paper in the US.

At least among birdcage owners.
