Welcome to the inaugural edition of TESL-HK! This first publication represents a milestone for all English language teaching professionals in Hong Kong SAR. Our newsletter serves as a rallying point for all TESL teachers particularly those in secondary schools. We see TESL-HK as a forum for the professional exchange of ideas and activities on ELT in Hong Kong SAR and around the region. Our mission is to act as a conduit for channeling, at a very localised level, your concerns and views on ELT. We hope also to serve as a motivating force for sparking debate on ELT and, equally important, for promoting innovative and effective approaches to meeting the needs of our English language learners. We will treat you biannually to a wide variety of insightful articles and interesting practical activities. If you are looking for ways to improve your language teaching and learning and develop yourself professionally, come journey with us as we discuss issues that are pertinent to you.
