The role of the International Australian Football Council
(IAFC) is to promote and develop Australian Rules football internationally.
The
Australian Football
International Cup was held in Melbourne, Australia in August 2002. The 11 competing
nations were the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Ireland, South Africa, Japan, New Zealand,
Nauru, Papua New Guinea and Samoa. The second International Cup was held in Melbourne in August 2005.
The inaugural Australian Football World Cup will be held in Melbourne in March 2008.
