Ricardo Montalban presents the Nosotros American Latino Film Festival

Ricardo Montalbán and Nosotros, a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in
1970, invite you to the 2006 Nosotros American Latino Film Festival (NALFF)
at the historic Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood, California from
August 23rd-27th, 2006 (1615 N. Vine St., Hollywood, CA 90028).

This year the festival kicks off a week of festivities that includes the Latino Entertainment Industry Summit, and culminates with the 36th Annual Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards.

With various programs throughout the event, the competitive festival showcases many feature films, documentaries, short films, a high school
filmmakers showcase and music videos. Although the festival is a bi-lingual event, the majority of the programs are presented in English. NALFF
showcases the work of American Latino filmmakers and offers entertainment industry workshops, panels discussions, networking receptions with live entertainment and educational programs. Each evening hosts a gala with celebrity appearances that bring the entertainment community together. The event is open to the general public and entertainment industry at large. The film festival will also serve as a fundraiser to supplement all the educational programs Nosotros offers throughout the year.

From Chicanos in East Los Angeles, to Boricua's in New York and Cubans in Miami, to Central and South Americans throughout the country, American
Latino filmmakers hail from various backgrounds, but share one commonality they are Latinos living in the United States. Their films reflect the American experience from their own unique perspective. These individuals stand to make a great impact and contribution to American filmmaking. This film festival provides a platform and give voice to these otherwise
underrepresented filmmakers. By offering resources to filmmakers and presenting educational programs, the festival aims to ensure a Latino presence in the future of American Filmmaking. The English-speaking Latino
is one of the hottest burgeoning markets. With more programming geared toward this demographic than ever before, the American
