The Dibner Institute is an international center for advanced
research in the history of science and technology and located
on the campus of MIT. Each year the Institute hosts senior,
post-doctoral and graduate student fellows, as well as symposia,
conferences, lectures and workshops.
As we previously announced, the Burndy Library has closed to the public. In the fall of 2006 the collection will be moving to San Marino, California to become part of the Huntington Library. At that time, the Dibner Institute will be closing its doors and shutting down its server. Despite that, we are doing what we can to continue to make the various web sites that have been housed on our server available. As we find homes for the various sites, we will list their new URLs and appropriate contact information here. So, keep watching . . .
In the meantime, for more information on the move, please see the press release from the Huntington Library. The Burndy Library Catalog is still fully searchable online.
