Gel Drying

Method:

  1. Peel back plastic cover and lay gel on dryer bed.

  2. Cover gel with Saran wrap and replace plastic cover.

  3. Close lid and follow instructions on hood; open valve to vacuum.

  4. In 2 h.turn valve to vacuum off and remove gel; WAIT ANOTHER 15 MINUTES, THEN TURN VACUUM AND CONDENSER/TRAP OFF.

Notes:

You can cut out bands from dried gels and recover sufficient protein to possible prepare antibodies
