These are times in which many writers are feeling the need to join and perhaps even influence the great debate about our disturbed and disturbing times. PEN, with its distinguished background of fighting for free speech and against persecution and censorship, is a great place from which to enter that debate.

To join, click Application Form, print it, fill it out and send it to the address below. If you are paying by cheque, please be sure to include this with your application form.
Membership is open to all who subscribe to the aims of International PEN as expressed in its Charter and agree to abide by its Rules. Those who are not writers, editors and translators may become Associate Members or Corporate/Institutional Members, enjoying all rights of membership other than voting rights.
Annual Membership fee: $60.00 (AUD) or $90 (AUD) for membership to 31 December 2007
Student membership fee: $30.00 (AUD) or $45 (AUD) for membership to 31 December 2007
