TO PRESENT SERVICE TO CHILDREN AWARDS
Miss America 2006
Jennifer Berry will present the Service to
Children Awards at the 2006 National Association
of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF)
Service to America Awards Gala on Monday,
June 12 at the Ritz Carlton in Washington, DC.
She will be presenting the awards to
independently-owned KVAK-AM/FM Valdez, AK, and
Univision-owned WLTV-TV Miami, FL for their
outstanding programs, campaigns and public
service announcements produced for the benefit
of children.
The NABEF is a
non-profit organization dedicated to serving the
public interest in supporting and advocating:
education and training programs, strategies to
increase diversity, initiatives stressing the
importance of the First Amendment, community
service, philanthropy and other timely
broadcasting issues. Former President
William Jefferson Clinton will be awarded
NABEF's Leadership Award, which
recognizes an individual or organization not involved in broadcasting for exceptional
leadership in improving the human condition.
