In 1926 a few concerned citizens determined that
DeSoto County was in need of a Chamber of Commerce. This group of
businessmen established the Arcadia-DeSoto County Chamber of
Commerce in an effort to assist the business community and encourage
economic development. Since that time the DeSoto County Chamber of
Commerce has strived to maintain that same level of community
commitment and when possible, improve on the services it provides.
