Light To Live By An Exploration In Quaker Spirituality
BY REX AMBLER
This book is a companion volume to Truth of the Heart: an anthology of George Fox. The author describes a 'personal practice of meditation which I discovered in early Friends' and' tells 'the story of my attempts to use the practice and develop it in my own personal life.' Rex Ambler sees Fox, in a tract of 1653, clearly describing a meditative process about which he goes into in detail, relating it to his own personal exploration and development. In the Appendix he outlines the stages of meditation, based on the practice of early Friends but given present-day relevance and made useable in a workshop format. This is an explication of Ambler's famous 'experiments in Light' process. Britain YM 2002 60 PP. Paper $14.00,
