HaikuFox Theme Updated

Tigerdog has updated his HaikuFox Theme to version 0.36.

This update fixes scrollbar bugs in downloads and extensions panels, cleans up a few scattered icons, reduced theme file size and adds scrollbars when HaikuFox is used under Mac OS X.

Awesome stuff. I use HaikuFox on my all my OSes including my Mac ;)

New Version of VideoEditor Released (ZETA)

yellowTAB mid October announced that they were to bundle the pro version of their VideoEditor as part of their ZETA DeluxeEdition. Today they announced that a new version of the VideoEditor had been made available for download for customers of ZETA R1.0 and R1.1.

RDesktop 1.4.1

3dEyes** brings us his latest edition of RDesktop 1.4.1. RDesktop is an open source client for Windows NT Terminal Server and Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Services, capable of natively speaking Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) in order to present the user's NT desktop. RDesktop was initially written by Matthew Chapman based on various scarce documentation, wire sniffs, and trial-and-error.

HaikuFox Theme Updated

The very cool, HaikuFox Theme by tigerdog, has been updated to version 0.35. The fix was for a minor problem with the "insertion arrow" when rearranging tabs using drag'n'drop under BeOS / Zeta.

Beezer makes Archiving a Breeze

If you get a chance, check out this new app by Ramshankar called Beezer - it's a freeware GUI-based Archiver that currently supports the following formats:- zip, tar, gzip, tar.gzip, bzip2, tar.bzip2, lha (lzh), rar, 7zip and arj.

More formats, as they become available, can simply be "plugged" into the application.

Haiku's First Employee

Axel Dörfler has been announced as Haiku's first full-time employee.

Thanks to user donations, Haiku, Inc. has been able to raise enough money to pay Axel through to the end of November, as a full-time, 40-hour week employee.

Python and Bethon Back On Track

"Donn Cave has updated his port of Python to BeOS, as well as the Bethon BeOS API interface library.

This brings BeOS up to date with other platforms with regards to Python, and merges some independent patchsets into Bethon."

VNC Server for BeOS

Now that we've got our NYEs and NYDs out of our system for another year, Alexander G. M. Smith has published his VNCServer port of RealVNC's version 4.0 final source code.

Whilst he recommends that you use RealVNC as a client, I'm a fan of TightVNC. It just has more features than Real.
