In 1789, crewmembers of HMS Bounty, led by Masters Mate Fletcher Christian and Midshipman Ned Young, mutinied against the command of Lt. William Bligh. Bligh and his supporters were set adrift in the ship's launch, and against all odds, Bligh led them over 3,000 miles to safety in Batavia (now Djakarta, Indonesia). The mutineers returned to Tahiti, where some stayed and were later captured. A handful of the mutineers along with their Tahitian consorts sailed the ship to Pitcairn Island where their descendants live today. This web site will tell you much about this famous event in maritime history, about which 6 movies, 1 play, and over 2,000 books and articles have been written.
Located nearly 1,000 miles from the nearest inhabited place, Pitcairn is home to 40 descendants of the Mutiny on the Bounty crewmembers and their consorts. This community, one of the most isolated in the Pacific, has lived here since 1789. This web site will tell you of Pitcairn Island itself, and the history, culture, and day-to-day life of its wonderful people. Included is a directory of residents, a "virtual shopping mall" where you can purchase their hand-made carvings, and information about contacting the Pitcairners.

Information about the family trees we are actively researching, including downloadable GEDCOM's of some of our English, Scottish, French, German, Polish, Canadian, and American lines, along with the ancestry, descendants, and cousins of the HMS Bounty crewmembers. An encyclopedia of St. Paul, Minnesota, 1830-1850. Information about the persons and places that played a part in the local history of the earliest days in the life of the capital city of Minnesota. Pierre "Pig's Eye" Parrant, a bootlegger and retired fur trader, was St. Paul's first resident.
It is obvious from my travels around the Internet that it is very difficult to find graphics of any kind that depict people with disabilities and objects of particular interest to the disabled community. If the disabled are to be included in web page pictures and in document illustrations along with the rest of society, someone has to start creating those graphics.
The fantasy world of Drak is a wonderful place for storytellers, PBEM campaigners, and role-playing fans who happen also to be cat-lovers! Along with the normal cast of citizens (humans, dwarves, elves, and orcs), felines make up 1/3 of the population. There are also new races ... spirits, vespers, phantoms, felesprits, and catlings (halflings). Drop by and see if you are as captivated as we are. And while you're there, say hello to our friends, Minet, Muette, Eike, Kjekk, and many others. And the Dragoncats? All the races there are Dragoncats, as they all descended from that stalwart race who colonized the planet eons ago.

Over the Edge© is a role-playing game (RPG) and On the Edge© is a collectible card game (CCG) created by Trident Inc. and Atlas Games. They are award-winning games, and although they have been overshadowed by other more widely advertised games, they are games worth noticing and promoting. Players play the parts of conspirators seeking power and influence among the strange beings who inhabit both the official power structure and the shadowy underground on the fictional (thank heavens!) Mediterranian Island of Al Amarja.
