Kirkland, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks announced that the 2006 regular season has officially sold out as of 10:45 a.m. today. Tickets sold out in less than 45 minutes. Single-game preseason tickets are still available through Ticketmaster by calling 888/NFL-HAWK and www.seahawks.com.

The team has sold more than 19,000 new season ticket packages to reach a base of 61,000 season tickets, both franchise highs. Today’s sales will guarantee 34 consecutive sell outs at Qwest Field dating back to the 2003 season.

Last month, the Seahawks created a waiting list for the first time since the early 1990’s with more than 2,000 season ticket waiting list deposits to date. To learn more about Blue Pride, the Seahawks season ticket waiting list, visit www.seahawks.com.

I was surprised, actually, that I was able to land tickets for five games. My fiance and I were poised at different computers for the strike of 10am, and it paid off. Whew!

I missed out on scoring tickets this year, but thank you fellow Seattle fans for supporting our Seahawks this year, at least we will be able to watch all the games on TV. GO SEAHAWKS!
