Big Day Out
In January and Febuary 2001, Rammstein play the Big Day Out festival in Australia and New Zealand for the first time. In between, Rammstein play additional club gigs in Sydney and Melbourne.

Video shooting
The video for the new single is being produced. The shooting for the "Sonne" video takes place in Potsdam at Babelsberger Filmstudios from the 13th through the 15th. Jörn Heitmann / Department M directs the video.
January 29, 2001
"Sonne" video released
Starting today, "Sonne" airs on VIVA1, VIVA2 and MTV with Powerplay Rotation.

Japan tour
Rammstein plays at Big Cat in Osaka, and at Liquid Room in Tokyo.

"Sonne" single release
The new single "Sonne" is released, only in Europe. Apart from the original and instrumental versions, there are also be 2 remixes by Clawfinger, and the song "Adios" of the album "Mutter"

"Mutter" album release
The new album "Mutter" is released.

Tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
Rammstein starts their tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

"Links 2-3-4" single release
"Links 2-3-4" is the 2nd release from the album "Mutter". The tracklist includes next to the original version, one remix by Clawfinger and two by Westbam, plus one additional song called "Hallelujah", which is only available on this single.

"Links 2-3-4" video release
The video for "Links 2-3-4" is shown with Powerplay Rotation on VIVA1, VIVA2 and MTV.

"Links 2-3-4" DVD release
The new Rammstein DVD "Links 2 3 4" is released . This DVD includes apart from the single tracks a photo galllery with so far unreleased photos, the video for "Links 2 3 4" and a Making Of.

The "Mutter limited Tour Edition" is released with a cover with alternative artwork and 4 additional live tracks of "Ich Will", "Links 2-3-4", "Sonne", and "Spieluhr". Those tracks are made availlable for free downloading on www.rammstein.com.

Rammstein perform their new single "Ich Will" live, as the only nominated German Act, at the EMA show in Frankfurt/Main Germany.
