I have been looking at this tag for weeks now. I really like it . It did occur to me however that the loving God that I know is sending Republicans to Heaven.

Well....we know they did it with Armstrong and "Gannon", and those are just the ones we know about.I suspect Rush, Drudge, Hannity, etc. Do you think they decided to stop doing it? Hardly........

I'm not quite ready yet to say they're being "handsomely paid by the Rove team" but I do think there a a certain number of them who know which side their bread is buttered on, so they "play to their base" so to speak. Lazy, greedy, disingenuous? Yes, but not necessarily on the Bush payroll.

What if Cindy Sheehan was simply the organizer of a group of folks who were demanding an audience with Bush to explain the continued sacrifice of their countrymen (and women)? The moral issue remains the same, and the responsibility of the President of the United States remains the same.  What the hell is wrong with this woman asking ANY ELECTED OFFICIAL for some satisfactory answers?

And if Hitchens' logic rings true to a large number of people, then this country has truly lost its way. When we stop ascribing special weight to the words of those who have lost loved ones in service to the nation ... well, it's just plain unthinkable.
