Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve,
Christmas, and Mardi Gras.
Accessibility:
The National World War II Museum is
fully accessible to all visitors. Wheelchairs
are provided for use in the Museum.
We offer short introductory Museum guides
in braille, French, Spanish and German
Exhibits:
The National World War II Museum's exhibits
encompass the June 6, 1944 invasion
of Normandy, the Home Front during WWII,
and the D-Day Invasions in the Pacific.
Exhibit galleries incorporate text panels,
artifacts, and Personal Account stations
in which visitors may listen to the
stories of WWII veterans and others
who supported the war effort.
We recommend allowing at least
2-3 hours to view the Museum.
Film Showings:
The Malcolm Forbes Theater shows two
exclusive WWII films: D-Day
Remembered (Normandy) and Price
for Peace (the Pacific). These
films, each about 45 minutes long, show
daily on an alternating basis beginning
with D-Day Remembered at 9:30 AM, Price
for Peace at 10:30 AM and so on. A film
is shown every hour on the half hour.
Both films are also available for purchase
in our Museum Store.
Visitor Facilities:
PJ's Cafe, Museum Shop, baby changing
facilities, wheelchairs.
