The first French film production. The production was shot at Usine Lumière in Lyon, France. The film was first shown at the first performance of the Lumière Cinématographe to a private audience at the Société d’encouragement a l’industrie Nationale in Paris, France, on 22 March 1895. Lumière film number 91 [first version].
