Family: Orchidaceae

One of the most spectacular and weird of the Dendrobium family. It's many 75mm. twisted flowers make a remarkable display. It likes a good coarse mix for drainage, bright light and high humidity. Benefits from a regular dilute fertilising and needs water year round with no rest period. Can be grown in full sunlight if slowly acclimatised to it. Seems to grow and flower best after it has been potted for several years.

Native Habitat:  Papua and New Guinea, Bougainville Island and the Solomon Islands

Climate:  Hot

Flowering Season:  Winter to Early Spring
