LJ Talks To

Lisa Carey wrote her first novel, The Mermaids Singing, as her thesis for her MFA at Vermont College. Translated into seven languages, it was optioned for film along with her second novel, In the Country of the Young. Carey’s latest and fourth novel, Every Visible Thing (LJ 7/06), revolves around the Furey family, distraught over the disappearance of older son Hugh.
