Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula MS

Post-WWII Construction Record

Ingalls Pascagoula was established at the beginning of WWII and was privately held until Litton Industries bought it in 1961 and, with the aid of the State of Mississippi, built the "shipyard of the future" on the west bank of the Pascagoula River.  Litton was bought by Northrop Grumman in 2001 and Ingalls is now formally known as Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Ingalls Operations.  Visit the shipyard at www.ss.northropgrumman.com.

This table is believed to be complete, because Ingalls used to list its record on its web site (no longer, presumably thanks to Northrop Grumman), but Ingalls' hull numbers are not sequential, run in at least three different series, include the hull numbers used by Ingalls Iron Works in Decatur AL, and are, as a result, very confusing.
