"The most exciting thing about today's result is that we have uncovered some young homegrown talent that has the potential to be the core of future Hong Kong sides for the next ten years."
Sevens rugby's inclusion in the Asian Games further confirms the rapid emergence of Rugby Sevens, which allows nations from all continents to be truly competitive with the traditional rugby nations.
Sevens is a core sport of the Commonwealth Games and is the second-most sought after ticket for the 2006 Games in Melbourne in March. The final Sevens session at the Commonwealth Games is sold out and will be played in front of a world record crowd of over 55,000.
