Laurel Canyon, Inc.

Did a totally random search for “Laurel Canyon” and discovered that it’s found its way onto a lot more than bestselling pop-cultural books by overweening writers.

Above, for your consideration, is the business end of the Laurel Canyon lowrise boot cut woman’s jean designed by Paige Adams-Gellar. I’m unsure about the Laurel Canyon connection here; then again does it really matter?

Meanwhile, the Laurel Canyon Ranch housing development in San Antonio, above, would like you to know that…

“There is nothing quite so serene as the Texas Hill Country at dawn. Dew glistens on bluebells in the early morning light…a bird chirps, deer amble by, and so the day begins.

“This is life the way nature intended. This is life at the Laurel Canyon Ranch.”

Hell, that’s pretty much life here in the real Laurel Canyon: chirping birds, ambling deer, although I don’t know about the dewy bluebells.

Anyway, let’s give props to John Mayall, one of Laurel Canyon’s 1960s originals, who probably did more than anyone to brand the canyon and spread the word via his landmark album “Blues from Laurel Canyon.”

And so the day begins…
