Nevin accepts sanction and moves on

Wednesday, 4 October, 2006 - 8:52AM
Paul Nevin reacted calmly to news that he has been excluded from the technical area for two matches following the Knights match against the Central Coast Mariners last week.

"I have already spoken to the FFA, first last week to apologise for some of the comments made in the context of a heated and emotional moment and i have accepted their sanction without quarrel. My focus now just as it is for my players is 100% on preparing for the match against Perth and following that Newcastle."

Football Federation Australia (FFA), on Tuesday issued New Zealand Knights Head Coach Paul Nevin with a number of sanctions for breaching the Hyundai A-League Code of Conduct by bringing the game into disrepute during the Round 6 Hyundai A-League fixture between the New Zealand Knights and the Central Coast Mariners at North Harbour Stadium.

The Knights are away in Perth preparing for Friday night's clash against the Glory, a match that will kick off in the early hours of Saturday morning NZT.
