The Kinsmen Sports Centre is one of the world's finest fitness and recreation facilities. Located in Edmonton's beautiful river valley, the centre offers facilities for many sports and will be the competition site for World Masters Games diving, swimming, synchronized swimming and table tennis. Owned and operated by the City of Edmonton.
This is an international standard diving venue with three, five, 7.5 and 10-metre platforms and six one-metre and four three-metre spring boards.
Swimming, Synchronized Swimming
This swimming complex was built for the 1978 Commonwealth Games. The facility was upgraded in 1998 and has hosted major sport events including international water polo championships, the 1983 University Games and World Cup Swimming from 1998 to 2001.
Competition pool: 10 lanes, 50 m long x 25 m wide with a depth of 2 to 2.3 m.
Warm-up pool: 12 lanes, 50 m long x 13 m wide with a depth of 1.1 to 1.4 m. Bulkhead at 25 m.
This multi-purpose facility contains 60,000 square feet of indoor gym space, including areas for badminton, basketball, squash, tennis and table tennis. It also includes two indoor tracks (200 m and 270 m).
Amenities: fitness centre, sport retail store, physiotherapy clinic, cafeteria, conference room, saunas and sport massage clinic. Lockers are available for daily use.
