There were tears, hugs, promises to return and lots of wine-filled toasts were made! And that was it; WRC in Perth had come to an end. But all credit to the organisers; they saw it off in style. Sunday night was party-night, right through until Monday morning. Headaches all round, but worth it.

Colin and Chris have headed back to the UK and the creature comforts of WRC Central - comfy sofas, a well-stocked fridge and an abundance of Haribo sweets. I, on the other hand, am on a plane heading to Sydney and Cairns, having decided to stay out between events.

I'm off to see the Great Barrier Reef, whale-watch and do the walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge. Fantastic!
