Notes:
I give no guarantees of an error-free text. I scanned it with a 300 DPI handscanner back in 1995, and Optical Character Recognition was not perfect then! On this particular text, my OCR program tended to confuse "1" and "l" (one & ell); and put "t" for "T". So, "William" could be "Wi11iam" or "Wil1iam" , and "Thomas" could be "thomas" . You might also find some gratuitous spaces. I edited out most errors, but best to check manually if a computer search fails to find the name you are looking for, especially if it contains the lower case letters l,i,e,y, or uppercase T.
If anyone is interested in the Avoca area, I suggest you write to the Avoca
Historical Society, PO Box 24, Avoca VIC 3467.
Or, you may visit their website.
