mToken is not just a desktop to PocketPC converted application. We have designed and built an application that specifically targeted for the Windows Mobile® Pocket PC environment. For example, we have designed a font that can be used to display 40 columns by 25 rows of terminal text without scrollbars crisper and easier to read.

mToken also supports a unique feature called SmartClick. With SmartClick, any word or menu string appeared on the screen can be automatically sent to the server just by tapping the word. Tapping the screen can also send mouse position data to the server application that utilizes X-Window's XTerm mouse tracking extensions. Server applications with such feature can enable users to navigate or use the application just by tapping the screen with a stylus.

Supports various connection methods.

mToken supports a wide range of connection methods. Not only the Internet based methods such as SSH and TELNET but it also supports data modem (via Microsoft Telephony API (TAPI)) and direct COM port connections. For SSH, mToken supports both SSH1 and SSH2 protocols.

Supports comprehensive SSH1/SSH2 options.

For user authentication, along with commonly used password authentication, it also supports public-key, host-based and keyboard-interactive methods. For communication data encryption, advanced and widely used algorithms such as AES, 3DES and Blowfish are supported. mToken also supports the compression of the communication data.

Address Book entries are shown in groups according to their connection type in tree-like view. You can choose any storage device available in your PocketPC, e.g., main memory, SD or CompactFlash storage card, to store the Address Book entries.

Supports configuring PocketPC application launch buttons for entering macros.

Macros can be configured and managed within mToken and when the assigned PocketPC application launch button is pressed, all available macros will be listed in a popup menu. Just by tapping one of the listed macros, mToken will send the macro to the server as if it was typed.

Includes PING and TRACE-ROUTE network tools.

For quick testing of your Internet connection, mToken includes PING and TRACE-ROUTE tools. mToken's PING feature also supports an Audio Feedback option. When you enable this option, you will hear a beep sound for every successful PING test, which allows you to adjust your Internet configurations without looking at the PING test screen, i.e., if you hear constantly sounding beeps that means your connection is working properly.
Includes custom ASCII BEL(Ctrl+G) character sounds.

If your server uses the ASCII BEL character to indicate a successful data entry, such as barcode scanning systems, the new sound should provide more clear and distinctive audio feedback.

Supports full screen mode.

While connected to server, you can activate Full Screen mode and nothing but the terminal screen will be visible.
