The other day I thought I saw a link to a program that could let you write your own quests. In the Russian forum there seems to be some way of doing this. Does anybody know where to download this program. I just can't seem to find it.

With TGE you can create quests (but the program is in Russian) and with AddQuest you can add your quests to the game to pley it. But if you play your quests the game will be automatically given a cheat label.

Thanks guys. Anyone know if someone has translated the controls or if I need to do this myself?

What do you mean? I can give you a translation of it in the post. But I can't change it in the program. and there is no TGE in English.

Yeah, i know that the program is only in Russian, but if i know what the word open looks like I can still use it to open files and so forth. I was just wondering if anyone had explained what the pannels say. Also, do you know why all the writing is question marks? (most likely i need to install the russian language pack into windows, but I'm not sure)

Thanks. I never ment for you to do it. But if you know russian it will be easier than for me. I was just going to copy the words into a translator and hope i got them right.

Thanks. I'll let you know how it is. I love these quests. They remind me of playing the original Zork trilogy as a kid.

Good...This is Hard. I've been trying to understand the quests that come with the game to start out with. So far I've had some success. I may have found how the election quest works and been able to predict what to do to win. At least some times. There are some pieces of russian that are still present on the yellow info boxes that apear when you hold your cursor over the lines and dots, but I'm starting to understand them and how to work TGE. I havn't been able to give it enough time to actually build my own quest yet though.

Hey, i forgot to ask. Are you one of the programers or something? because it was impressive that you could change the language on the program. Good job . I havn't payed much attention to minor spelling or grammer mistakes, so I can't tell you right now what was wrong. I can keep better track if you would like. Thanks again.

I did try to make "english TGE" run but it crashes at launch... Should I have russian alphabet installed to make it work ? (then it's not really in english ? )

Yes. You need russian TGE. Then replace russian TGE.exe with english one.

If you want to use the russain version and see more than "???" . Make sure the Russian laguage pack is installed (It was on mine, but I do know if that is standard). And then set windows up to be dual language. Then it will display Russian, but TGE won't be in english.

Hey {*!©e*}

Here is a list of the parts that are still in russian. Your Grammer seems good (At Least I think so), except in the options screen where the descriptions are too long.
-program name still in Russian
-button names which appear when you hold your cursor over them are mostly still in Russian
I think they are-new
-open
-save
-undo
-redo
-add point
-add path
-erase
-move location / redirect path
-find
-quest properties
-quest statistics
-? (I still don't know what these are)
-?
-?
-Play Quest
-Options
-Scrolling on/off
-When you click on a point. At the bottom of the information box are four check boxes the first three are still in russian
-When you click on a path the two white boxes at the top are described in Russian
-some of the descriptions in the options are too long to read
-The descriptions on the yellow boxes are still in Russian

Hopefully this helps you a little. Maybe you could tell me what the three tools are? I keep playing with them, but I can't figure them out. Thanks. I'll be working on some quests here soon.

Yes, I'd like to, but see TB5 post above, currently non-russian speakers can't use the tools ...

Oh my stupid, stupid, stupid head! Names are taken from the txt-file. I had translated it but then forgot! Here is that file. Do with it as with TGE - replace original file with this.

PDF, I didn't mean that i couldn't use the program. I am just trying to help {*ICE*} fully translate the program. If you download the program at the top of this forum, it does work and you can figure out how to work it with just a little playing. I've actually been looking at the quest that come with the game to learn how it works. Right now I'm working on other things which is why i havn't gotten to finishing a quest of my own.

Thanks {*ICE*}. The file explains a lot and helps too.
