Brit Hume Neglects to Mention Collaborating Witnesses in Jamil Hussein/AP Story
Shortly after Brit Hume's interview with Bush last night (12/4), Hume turned his attention to a story that has spread through the right-wing blogosphere like wildfire. According to several stories, the AP issued a wire dispatch in late November detailing an incident where Shiite militiamen had “grabbed six Sunnis as they left Friday worship services, doused them with kerosene and burned them alive near Iraqi soldiers who did not intervene.” Within the story, one police Capt. Jamil Hussein was credited as a source. According to Iraqi officials however; there is no such police Captain.
This has caused many questions about the AP's credibility, and Fox decided to run with this story during Brit Hume's "Two Minutes of Hate" (AKA "Grapevine" segment) last night, but Hume neglected to mention despite the "he said, she said" controversy, the AP did return to the scene and found several other witnesses to corroborate the story.

During the interview with George Bush last night (12/4), Fox News host Brit Hume, who has been unabashadly partisan in his support for UN Ambassador John Bolton, spent a portion of the interview discussing his sudden resignation. During this portion of the interview, supposed unbiased "journalist" Hume lobbied Bush to provide Bolton with a new position within the State Department, one that would not require Senate confirmation.

In a shocking turn of events, Special Report's host Brit Hume showed contempt for the troops during last night's (12/4) interview with President Bush, when he directed a series of questions to Bush aimed at placing the blame for all the Iraq war failings on the Generals on the ground, while helping the politicians back home avoid taking any sort of responsibility.

MSNBC is reporting that U.N. Ambassador John Bolton has submitted his resignation to President Bush, and will be leaving office when his recess appointment comes to an end.
