Adrian Giles - Founder/Executive Director

 

 

Adrian Giles founded Hitwise with his business partner Andrew Barlow in 1997. As a Managing Director from 1997 to 2000, Adrian spearheaded the evolution and growth of the product, the growth of the sales and marketing and Research & Development teams, and guided the business through numerous capital raisings to help fund its international growth.

During 2000 the founders expanded the executive team to its current size to assist the company with its rapid international expansion. Since that time Hitwise has grown from its R&D base in Melbourne to include sales and marketing offices in Sydney, Singapore, London, San Francisco as well as its corporate headquarters in New York.

In his current role as Executive Director of the Company Adrian is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Hitwise business and product alike. Adrian possesses the unique combination of technical, marketing and commercial expertise, which has been responsible for the evolution of the Hitwise product as well as its popularity and worldwide acceptance amongst over 1,000 blue-chip marketers.

Prior to forming Hitwise, Adrian led numerous Internet divisions for corporate groups, including the Beam Group of Companies, Australia's largest software and multimedia developers, where he was responsible for developing and marketing a range of technical products and solutions around the world. Adrian studied an Associate Diploma of Business at Holmesglen as well as a Bachelor of Computing Degree at Monash University in Melbourne.

Hitwise has been ranked as one of the top 10 fastest growing IT companies in the Asia-Pacific region for the past three years. Hitwise was the winner of the 2004 Victorian (Telstra) Small Business Awards and was awarded the 'Most Innovative Digital Business' in the United Kingdom for 2004. Adrian was also a finalist in the 2003 Australian 'Entrepreneur of the Year' awards.
