For those of you interested in the upcoming live action Transformers film, or just the Transformers in general, there are a few blurbs of news you might be interested in hearing
Firstly, the next Transformers animated series will not be written by the Japanese. So say good bye to that awful outsourced Armada/Energon/Cybertron anime garbage we'd been getting for the past 3 years. Secondly, the series (potentially titled "Transformers Heroes") will have the voice recordings done in Los Angeles, *not* Canada. Which means we can look forward to a completely new cast of actors. And in addition to *that*, the voice direction will be done by the ultra-talented Susan Blu, who directed the voice work for Beast Wars and Beast Machines. As far as characters go, the description for this show's Optimus Prime describes the character as "young" with a voice that should sound like "a young Tom Hanks". We'll find out what that means next Fall.

And on to the second order of business: any of you familiar with the 1986 Transformers the Movie are likely also familiar with the movie's theme, "The Touch", performed by Stan Bush. Well, according to Stan Bush-himself, he has been hired by director Michael Bay to perform a new version of "the Touch" for the upcoming live action film. This could either be really cool, or really lame.
