The register of burials forms part of the Kirk Session Records of the Church of Scotland and is housed at the Scottish Record Office, HM General Register House, Princes Street, Edinburgh, Scotland.

There are a number of volumes from the Kirk Session of Eastern Assam housed in the Scottish Record Office which include Kirk Session Minutes, Baptism and Marriage Registers along with this burial Register. The Reference for the burial register at the Scottish Record Office is CH2/1148/6.

ANDERSON, George Ewen. British Tea Planter. Died 13 January 1942 aged 50 years. Committed suicide in a moment of mental imbalance. Buried 13 January 1942 at Nazira by Osmond Gardner, Lieut AVLH (AFI).

 

BEATTIE, Alexander. Tea Planter. Died 12 July 1942 aged 51 years due to Enteric fever. Buried 13 July 1942 at Golaghat by Lauchlan McLean, Chaplain.

 

BELL, Barbara. Died 12 January 1959 aged 80 years. Buried 13 January 1959 at Cinnamara by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

COLE, Barbara Mavis, and stillborn twins. Wife of James Richard COLE, Tea Planter Majulighur T E, Assam. Died 12 February 1954 aged 24 years of respiratory failure as the result of spinal anaesthesia given during conduct of abnormal delivery. Buried 13 February 1954 at Cinnamara, grave 87, by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

CRERAR, Alaister Norman. Tea Planter. Died 3 August 1955 aged 52 years of an internal haemorrage. Buried 4 August 1955 at Cinnamara, Grave 86, by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

DEANE, Leslie Ford Collins Davis. Stores Manager, Assam Oil Coy Ltd. Died 4 November 1952 aged 49 years of heart failure. Buried 5 November 1952 at Digboi by Peter Innes, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

DUTHIE, Roy George. British Tea Planter. Died 5 October 1951 aged 45 years in a motoring accident. Buried 6 October 1951 at Cinnamara by Reverend Glynn Jenkins, Missionary.

 

GLASHAN, William Henry. Tea Planter. Died 8 November 1949 aged 56 years due to sudden heart failure. Buried 9 November 1949 at Golaghat by William Craigie Drysdale Campbell, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

HAMPTON, George Fulton. Tea Planter. Died 20 February 1940 aged 28 years of a gunshot wound in the head, self inflicted. Buried 21 February 1940 at Golaghat by Lauchlan McLean, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

HARWOOD, Edgar Henry. Retired Railway Foreman. Died 8 December 1951 aged 70 years of Uremia. Buried 9 December 1951 at Cinnamara by Addison Strong Truxton, Missionary.

 

HOYES COCK, Julia Marie. Infant daughter of William HOYES COCK, Tea Planter. Died 25 December 1939 aged 2 years of streptococcal septicaemia. Buried 26 December 1939 at Cinnamara by Lauchlan McLean, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

MacKINTOSH, John Gordon. Tea Planter (Digulturrung TE, Doom Dooma PO) Died 12 May 1957 aged about 50 years in a flying accident. Buried 12 May 1957 at Golaghat by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

NORMAN, Stephen Peter. Died 5 September 1959 aged 4 years. Drowned. Buried at Cinnamara by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

PETGRAVE-JOHNSON, Leila Doris. Wife of General Manager of A R & T Coy, Margherita. Died 30 November 1952 aged 57 years of intraperitoneal rupture of amoebic absess following amoebic hepatitis. Buried 1 Dec 1952 at Margherita by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

RICHARDS, F/O R.L.C. Indian Air Force Officer. Died 8 February 1957 in a flying accident. Buried 10 February 1957 at Cinnamara by Reverend John Nelson, Church of Scotland Minister.

 

THOMAS, Trevor Ashton. Tea Planter. Died 5 June 1951 aged 53 years of coronary thrombosis. Buried 6 June 1951 at Golaghat by William Craigie Drysdale Campbell, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

TOWNSEND, Jane Lusk. Widow. Died 15 February 1952 aged 77 years of myocardial degeneration secondary to Uremia.. Buried 16 February 1952 at Cinnamara, Grave 37, by William Craigie Drysdale Campbell, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

WOOD, Ernest Montgomery. Tea Planter. Died 9 May 1952 aged 76 years of cerebral haemorrage. Buried 10 May 1952 at Golaghat by Peter Innes, Planters’ Chaplain.

 

YARDE-FROST, James Henry. Motor Engineer, RSN Company, Dibrugarh. Died 27 July 1952 aged 58 years of coronary thrombosis. Buried 28 July 1952 at Dibrugarh by Peter Innes, Planters’ Chaplain.
